WSOP.com Solve For Why All-stars week

WSOP.com Solve For Why All-stars week

After seeing the group of players I was put in for my week with the Tricks of the Trade promo, I’m wondering if they did in fact group us a little based on the limits or amount of time we play. There seem to be a large number of grinders in my group whereas the Icons group has few. That is no matter, if I set my mind to winning the leaderboard, I would have a good shot now that Whiteyslacks

Caesars Palace Spa & Fitness Center

Caesars Palace Spa & Fitness Center

Que Bath and Spa at Caesars Palace Las Vegas One major benefit for Seven Stars members, especially local Las Vegas members, is the free access to the Fitness Center and Spa at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. I’ve been enjoying the gym and the spa regularly since earning Seven Stars last year. Caesars Palace Spa Unlike the other spas in the Total Rewards portfolio, the Que Bath and Spa at Caesars feels like a true luxury spa experience and not just

WSOP.com’s Tricks of the Trade Promo 2017

WSOP.com’s Tricks of the Trade Promo 2017

I woke up today to a new email from WSOP.com with an interesting promo and I thought I’d share my thoughts on it. First though, I’d like to get one gripe out of the way. All casino promos should provide more than one day’s notice. I received the email on February 11 and the promo starts on February 12. If I wanted to reschedule some other events in my life to play it, that doesn’t leave me much time. Ok,

Double points Sunday

Double points Sunday

Here in lies the problem with playing for promotions… every regular online player wants to do the same thing. Typically there will be 2-3 NL100 tables on Sunday at this time. Today there are 5 already and looks like a new one could easily be started. And notice how they are all playing full ring? Of course, I can set-mine with the best of them and I need the double points for my Seven Stars pursuit, but it’s likely today

Bonus Time again!

Bonus Time again!

I just made a deposit to take full advantage of Wsop’s Celebrate bonus for $919. I’m actually not too sure how I feel about playing under a bonus again. It seems when I push myself to clear a bonus, I never do as well at poker. Outside of having a bonus to clear, I tend to only play when I feel good and focused and I more than make up for not having a bonus in higher EV. And now

Homestretch to Seven Stars

Homestretch to Seven Stars

It seems that with the Spring Tier Bonus, and some above average play for me in July and August, I have managed to put myself in striking distance of earning Seven Stars with Total Rewards. Do it all with poker? With 50,000 points to go and 4 months to do it, that would mean playing 12,500 APPs per month on Wsop.com. That is a reasonable goal. Although it is a bit much for me, especially considering I have 16 credits

Binked the 3k… coolered a great Headsup match

Binked the 3k… coolered a great Headsup match

I’ve been playing the 3k Nightly on Wsop.com regularly for a while now. I won it once about 10 months ago and since then have come up short… a few 2nd’s. I was beginning to doubt my heads-up prowess as I finished in a string of tournaments (like 8 to 10) in second place. As poker players, we really shouldn’t sweat results much, especially on any kind of short term scale. 8 to 10 headsup matches?  Ok, I should definitely

Poker Name tilt

Poker Name tilt

Final table of the $50 freezeout on WSOP (I finished 2nd), I 3bet all-in from the Big Blind versus a player’s open. Immediately, I catch Name Tilt. Usually it comes from amateur players that are not used to seeing me at the tables everyday, but this player is somewhat regular, so I was a little surprised. It was still a little funny though. I know it sucks to get 3-bet on your steal when the stack is just too big
